Destiny 2 and Fortnite crossover leaked ahead of Bungie event
Bungie appears to be gearing up to add Fortnite skins to Destiny 2. After Fortnite leaker Midorado teased a possible Destiny 2 collaboration over the weekend, Ginsor, a well-known Destiny data miner, confirmed the crossover in Destiny 2 with an image showing several classic Fortnite skins. The image, which was likely taken from Bungie's website, features a Titan armor set that closely resembles the Black Knight skin originally found in the Fortnite Season 2 season pass. The skin and Hunter look alike. much like the Omega skin from Fortnite. It is unclear how Destiny 2 players will be able to obtain these Fortnite skins or when they will be part of the game. Fortnite skins are more likely to be universal adornments in Destiny 2, allowing players to apply any armor set and customize characters. Rumors also suggest that Fortnite may also get its own Destiny skin, and there are plenty of characters that Bungie could place within the world of Fortnite. This isn't the first time Bungie has added crossover content to Destiny 2. Bungie celebrated its 30th anniversary with special content including Halo-type weapons in Destiny 2. The Destiny 2 30th Anniversary Pack, released late last year, included a pulse rifle similar to a battle rifle in the loot shooter, as well as a Magnum-type sidearm. This Fortnite crossover leak comes just days before Bungie reveals Destiny 2 Season 18 and the franchise's next big expansion: Lightfall.
